TAP Portugal set for Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa / travel

TAP Portugal will attend this years’ Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa (BTL), which is taking place in Portugal’s capital, Lisbon.

BTL is Portugal’s largest travel fair, taking place until March 3rd 2013, and will mark the 25th anniversary of the event. 

Although the show is traditionally known as a Portugal’s main tourism fair, this will be the second year BTL will have representation from the majority of Portuguese speaking nations, including Brazil, Mozambique and Angola.

It is believed that this year will see the one millionth visitor attend the show since its inauguration in 1989, uniting all the major national and international players in the travel and tourism industry under one roof.

In partnership with Turismo de Portugal, the tourism body of Portugal, TAP Portugal is sponsoring the BTL Hosted Buyers Program.

As part of this TAP will be bringing over 350 travel agents, operators and journalists from various markets across Europe and different tourism sectors, including MICE, Religious tourism and Golf markets, who will then be hosted for the duration of the exhibition.

The programme will aim to highlight the range of destinations TAP Portugal has to offer these sectors, as well as highlighting the country as the leading gateway to North and South America and Africa.
