Ios is a Greek island in the Aegean Sea. It is in the Cyclades group of islands. Ios is a hilly island situated halfway between Naxos and Santorini. It has an area of about 109 square kilometres. The population of the island is around 2000. Chora, the main town, is a white and very picturesque cycladic village. It is inaccessible for cars. The town is full of restaurants, boutiques, bars and discothèques. Ios attracts a large number of young tourists.
