Autres Hôtels - Varadero
** beach & sea : many rocks & shells when windy & big waves, could not enjoy the waves, sad, when calm, much less rocks & shells, we spent most of our time at the pool and not in the sea which is unusual for us, very narrow beach, beach in Cayo Santa Maria is much more beautiful
**** service : Iberostar great customer service, polite, joyful, smiling employees who do all they can do for you
***** animation : plenty of activities, funny employees with a lot of energy & enthusiasm
**** pools : OK, water temperature was very nice after few sunny days
**** room : Nothing bad to mention, we were in block 15 upper floor, quiet
* restaurants : very bad ! went to 2 restaurants, we cancelled our 3rd reservation, buffet was better, Japanese cook did zero show, I could have been the cook, cook at other table did a show, food had no taste, started cleaning cooking plates while we were still eating, no coffee offered, nor digestive, other restaurant (international) all 3 meals were very bad
**** buffet : small, but food is good, service is good, mussels, shrimps, langoustes, very good lamb, pasta, fresh made bread, went to buffet for lunch, much better than other restaurants
**** shows & music : good in comparison to other all inclusive resorts but not as good as professional shows, good dancers, some shows very amateur, rock show - some songs well done, other songs a disaster, good music in lobby (piano) early evening before shows
Other reviews: there is no ants & no bed bugs & no mosquitoes
Suggestions for management :
- early breakfast : left early on last day, went for breakfast between 6 & 6:30, were told that this would be continental breakfast, this was a very very bad experience, nobody to help, nothing to drink, no coffee, no juice, no water, tried to get coffee by ourselves from the coffee machines, they were both empty, no coffee beans, toasters stopped working, could not get toasts, nobody to help, almost nothing else to eat, unacceptable experience to live, coffee, juice, toasts, and one person to help is the minimum to expect, do something !
- employees : you have few employees that clearly do not like their job and tourists and they make it clear by inappropriate behavior, this was only 2 times but it takes some time to forget, you should talk to these employees
Would not go back because beach & sea with good waves but with no rocks & no shells is important for us, but if this is not important for you, then this hotel may be a good place for you to go, if you do not care too much about restaurants and like buffet instead "
