| Sol Meliá has opened its
first resort in Chile. The 91-room Meliá Patagonia in Puerto Varas,
designed by architect José Domingo Penha Fiele, offers guests scenic
lake views, WiFi Internet connection, plasma-screen TV and two telephone
lines. Other amenities include a fitness area, heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and massage rooms. Meliá Patagonia also features amenities for children with a game room outfitted with TVs, board games, computers, videogames and other games. There are also four meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests.
